PH EMBASSY ATTENDS 283RD ACC MEETING

03 February 2026— Ms. Crystal Ann S. Dunuan, Charge d’Affaires and Third Secretary Bryan B. Fernandez attended the 283rd ASEAN Committee in Cairo (ACC) Meeting along with the other Heads of Missions and representatives of the eight (8) ASEAN states represented in Cairo- Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam.

The meeting was the first for the Committee in 2026. The Committee welcomed the new Ambassador of Indonesia as well as new members of the Working Group.

The meeting included a discussion on ACC activities in 2026 such as engagements with Egyptian government officials, business organizations, think tanks and universities. The Committee looked forward to the new year to further develop and enhance ASEAN relations with Egypt. END.
