Report of Marriage

The Report of Marriage is a declaration that a marriage involving a Filipino citizen took place abroad. This is for the purpose that said marriage be recorded and acknowledged in the Philippines.

In order for the marriage to be recorded with the Philippine Statistics Authority, the Report of Marriage must be filed at the nearest Philippine Embassy or Consulate.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Confirmed appointment (Book Appointment)

  2. Duly accomplished Report of Marriage (ROM) form (four (4) originals).

  3. Original Marriage Contract w/ English translation stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (original + four (4) photocopies).

  4. Passports of husband and wife (to be returned to applicant) and four (4) photocopies of data page of each passport. 

  5. For delayed registration (reporting after 1 year from date of marriage):

    • Affidavit of Delayed Registration of marriage, (four (4) originals). 

    • Certificate of No Marriage from PSA, if marriage was not registered after  one (1) year from  date of marriage (original + four (4) photocopies). 

  6. Birth Certificate of Filipino spouse from PSA (four (4) photocopies).

  7. Birth Certificate of Foreign spouse with English translation (four (4) photocopies each of English and Arabic).

  8. Fees:

FILIPINOS GETTING MARRIED IN EGYPT

The Embassy may issue the Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage or CLCCM to allow the Filipino citizen to get married in Egypt. The LCCM is valid only for 120 days.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Confirmed appointment (Book Appointment).

  2. Personal appearance of both applicants.

  3. Duly accomplished CLCCM application form.

  4. Applicants' passports (original and 1 photocopy of data page)

  5. PSA Birth Certificate (original and 1 photocopy)

  6. 1 Recent passport-sized color photo of each applicant

  7. PSA Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR, valid only for 6 months from date of issuance by PSA)

  8. If Filipino is between the ages of 18 to 21: DFA-Authenticated Affidavit of Consent to Marriage executed by the parents, surviving parent or guardian or parents having legal charge of the Filipino

  9. If Filipino is between the ages of 21 to 25: DFA-Authenticated Affidavit of Advice executed by the parents, surviving parent or guardian or parents having legal charge of the Filipino

  10. Fee: US$25.00

Additional Requirements

Divorced Filipino applicant

  • Judicial Recognition of Divorce (issued by a Philippine Court)

  • Annotated PSA Marriage Certificate

Annulled/Legally Separated Filipino applicant

  • Certificate of Finality of Decision/Court Order (issued by a Philippine Court)

  • Annotated PSA Marriage Certificate

Widow/Widower 

  • PSA Death Certificate (if former spouse died in the Philippines)

  • MFA-Authenticated original or certified true copy of Death Certificate, translated in English (if former spouse died abroad)

FILIPINOS GETTING MARRIED AT THE EMBASSY

Solemnization of marriage may be solemnized at the Embassy only if the bride and groom are both Filipino citizens

  1. Confirmed appointment (Book Appointment).

  2. Personal appearance of both applicants.

  3. Duly accomplished Marriage License application form.

  4. Applicants' passports (original and 1 photocopy of data page)

  5. PSA Birth Certificate (original and 1 photocopy)

  6. 1 Recent passport-sized color photo of each applicant

  7. PSA Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR, valid only for 6 months from date of issuance by PSA)

  8. If Filipino is between the ages of 18 to 21: DFA-Authenticated Affidavit of Consent to Marriage executed by the parents, surviving parent or guardian or parents having legal charge of the Filipino

  9. If Filipino is between the ages of 21 to 25: DFA-Authenticated Affidavit of Advice executed by the parents, surviving parent or guardian or parents having legal charge of the Filipino

  10. At least two (2) witnesses present on the day of the marriage. Please arrange with the Consular Unit when the marriage will be solemnized.

  11. Fees:

       US$60.00 - Solemnization of Marriage

       US$25.00 - Authentication of Marriage Contract
