Passports For Release

As of 19 August 2026

NOTE: Per applicable DFA Guidelines, passports that remain unclaimed for more than one (1) year will be cancelled and disposed of.

Requirements:

Passport Holders:

Original DFA Issued Receipt;
Original acceptable ID; and
Old PAssport (for renewal applications)

Authorized Representatives:

Immediate Family Member:

Authorized Letter (must mention affiliation with applicant);
Original DFA issued receipt; and
Valid ID (original and photocopy) of applicant and representative.

Note: Immediate family members of legal age such as parents, brother, sister, spouse or children

Other then immediate family member:

Original notarized Special Power of Attorney (SPA) executed by the applicant, issued to the authorized representative; and
Valid ID (original and photocopy) of applicant and representative indicated in the Special Power of Attorney.

I don't see my OR number or initials? Where's my passport?
Hindi ko makita OR number ko o ang initials ko? Nasaan ang passport ko?
Send us an email at cairo.pe@dfa.gov.ph with your (1) name, (2) date of application, (3) and a copy of your receipt.

I saw my initials and OR number. How do I claim my passport?
Nakita ko ang initials at OR number ko. Paano ako mag claim ng passport?
1. Get an appointment at bit.ly/cairopeAPPOINTMENT for Release of Passport.
2. Bring your (a) original receipt and (b) valid ID (plus old passport in case of renewal).
**If a representative will claim your passport on your behalf, please include an authorization letter (for family member) OR notarized Special Power of Attorney (for non-familiy member) and ID of the authorized person along with (a) and (b).
