25 October 2021. On 24 October 2021, Amb. Ezzedin H. Tago met with Mr. Ahmed El-Wasimi, Vice President of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Khaled M. Mostafa, Secretary General & Chief Executive and Mr. Mohamed Samir Fahmi, Senior Public Relations Specialist. Amb. Tago was received by Mr. El-Wasimi on behalf of Engr. Ibrahim El-Araby, President of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed trade and investment opportunities between the Philippines and Egypt, particularly in pharmaceutical products, agricultural and food produce, as well as human resources. Amb. Tago and VP El-Wasimi agreed that there are discoveries to be made in terms of two-way trade and investments.
The Philippine Embassy in Cairo and the Cairo Chamber of Commerce agreed to enhance economic bilateral relations and share information on the countries’ trade regulations and investment opportunities. END.
