22 August 2026 - The Philippine Embassy in Cairo held a two-day consular and assistance-to-nationals outreach mission in Alexandria, Egypt from 21 to 22 August 2026.


In her opening remarks at the town hall meeting held just before the consular outreach officially started, Amb. Aviquivil underscored the Embassy’s commitment to bringing consular services closer to Filipinos in Alexandria and ensuring their continued access to assistance and support.


She thanked the Filipino community in Alexandria for their continued partnership with the Embassy. She also encouraged them to keep themselves informed of issues and developments in the Philippines, as their continuing engagement with their homeland ensures that the community remains united, involved and empowered.


The consular team processed applications for passports, civil registry, and dual citizenship, as well as notarization of documents. The team also facilitated overseas voter registration and addressed ATN-related concerns of some attendees.


A total of 70 Filipinos benefited from the various services of the two-day outreach activity. END
