29 September 2025- Ms. Crystal Ann Dunuan, Chargé d'Affaires, a.i., joined the eight (8) other Heads of Missions of ASEAN countries represented in Egypt for a short symposium with students of the October 6 University (O6U).

The Heads of Missions (HOMs) first had a meeting with university officials including Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of O6U. Thereafter, a short presentation was shared with the students introducing the ASEAN, its history and guiding principles. The students asked questions about what makes the ASEAN a strong regional organization as well as how ASEAN addresses regional issues. The HOMs emphasized that the ASEAN serves as a framework for dialogue and cooperation, prioritizing peaceful resolution of conflicts.

The event, called "ASEAN Lecture Series,” provided an opportunity for the ASEAN missions to discuss with Egyptian universities information on the Association of South East Asian Nations or ASEAN. This is the sixth edition of the event which was first launched in 2023. END
