PH EMBASSY IN CAIRO COMMEMORATES INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW (IHL) MONTH

The Philippine Embassy in Cairo joins the commemoration of International Humanitarian Law (#IHL) Month this August 2025. This year, the #Philippines will host the Asia Pacific Regional Conference on International Humanitarian Law, bringing together key stakeholders to explore the theme: “Galvanising Commitment to International Humanitarian Law: Challenges and Opportunities in the Asia Pacific Region.”

The Philippines has a long legacy of championing IHL, from ratifying all four Geneva Conventions and their additional Protocols, to being the first in Southeast Asia to adopt a National IHL Act and establish a National IHL Committee.

We reaffirm our commitment to promoting and upholding humanitarian principles in the country, in the region, and beyond.
