Correction of Civil Registry records?

The Philippine Embassy in Egypt informs all our kababayans about the process for filing petitions for the correction of clerical or typographical errors in civil registry documents (Reports of Birth, Marriage, and Death). Such petitions may be processed under applicable Philippine laws, subject to the requirements and evaluation of the appropriate Philippine authorities.

Examples of clerical or typographical errors include misspelled names, typographical mistakes, or incorrect entries that are obvious and do not affect a person's nationality, age, or civil status.

Before filing your petition, please ensure that you have prepared all the required supporting documents. The requirements and procedures may vary depending on the type of correction requested.
