PH EMBASSY HOSTS 2026 IFTAR FOR FILIPINO MUSLIM STUDENTS IN CAIRO

20 February 2026 -The Philippine Embassy in Cairo hosted an iftar at the Embassy’s consular grounds for Muslim members of the Filipino community including representatives of the Philippine Students Association in Cairo (PhilSAC).

In her opening speech, Chargé d’Affaires Crystal Ann S. Dunuan extended the Embassy’s wishes of peace and prosperity during the holy month of Ramadan. PhilSAC President Prince Jayford Narsico, in his remarks, expressed appreciation for the Embassy’s hosting of this year’s iftar and for its continued support to Filipino students in Egypt.

The program also included a recitation of the Holy Qur’an by PhilSAC member Mr. Morshid Salendab. The event provided an opportunity for the Embassy to connect and share a meal with members of the Filipino Muslim community, around 400 of whom are students under the Al-Azhar system of schools. END
