PH EMBASSY OFFICERS MEET WITH MINISTRY OF LABOR OFFICIALS

07 December 2025 — Chargé d’affaires Crystal Ann S. Dunuan and Third Secretary Bryan B. Fernandez met with officials of the Egyptian Ministry of Labor, namely, Ms. Karima Abdel Rahman, General Manager of the Central Department for International Relations and Labor Care Affairs; Mr. Mahmoud, Researcher at the General Administration of Foreign Labor Permits; and Mr. Ashraf Rasmy, Researcher at the General Administration for Foreign Representation.

The discussion focused on the Ministry of Labor's recently launched initiative aimed at regulating the employment of foreign domestic workers in Egyptian households.

The meeting also served as a platform for a constructive exchange on the implications of Egyptian labor laws on Filipino workers in Egypt and the sharing of insights on respective labor frameworks. END
