PH EMBASSY CONVENES TOWN HALL MEETING WITH ATN & CONSULAR SERVICES IN DJIBOUTI

On 26 July 2025, the Philippine Embassy in Cairo led by Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago, accompanied by Second Secretary and Consul Crystal Ann Dunuan and Mr. Romeo N. Lariza Jr., Consular Assistant & Attaché, held a town hall meeting with ATN and consular services at the Sheraton Hotel, Djibouti.


Members of the Filipino community in Djibouti attended the meeting and availed of the ATN and consular services.


Ambassador Tago provided updates on the Embassy's services and advised the attendees to comply with local laws and regulations,. He also encouraged the Filipino community to update/register their details with the Embassy, and reiterated the Embassy's readiness to assist distressed Filipinos in Djibouti.


As of 30 June 2025, the Embassy recorded 142 Filipinos living and working in Djibouti who registered their details with the Embassy; 70 are registered voters with 12.86% voter turnout on the previous 2025 online national election overseas. Other Filipinos in Djibouti who are not yet registered in the Embassy’s database are advised to inform the Embassy of their status in the country through bit.ly/OF-Djibouti.


This town hall meeting aligns with the Embassy's continuous efforts to engage all Filipinos nationals living in countries within its jurisdiction. END.
