24 July 2023 - The Philippine Embassy in Cairo, with the help of Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia , helped another batch of Filipinos to evacuate Sudan. The last batch arrived safely in Manila.
This batch spent over a month in Port Sudan due to challenges in finding available flights from Port Sudan and also onward flights to the Philippines.
The Embassy have recently advised everyone seeking evacuation from Sudan to proceed to the border with Egypt.
Filipinos who are still in Sudan are urged to leave the country immediately to ensure their safety.
