PH Embassy Attends Session Between ASEAN Missions and Egypt’s AFM for Asian Affairs

30 March 2026 - The Philippine Embassy, represented by Charge d'Affaires Ms. Crystal Ann S. Dunuan and Third Secretary Mr. Bryan B. Fernandez, attended a talk session featuring Ambassador Amr Hamza, the Assistant Foreign Minister for Asia, Australia, NZ and Pacific Islands Affairs. Also in attendance were the Heads and representatives of other ASEAN Missions in Cairo, including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam. The session was organized by the Embassy of Malaysia in Cairo.

Discussions after Amb. Amr's speech covered topics on Egypt’s engagement with ASEAN countries as well as the potential for further strengthening political and economic relations bilaterally with each member-state, and with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations collectively. END.
