PH AMBASSADOR TO EGYPT CONCLUDES TOUR OF DUTY

22 August 2025 – The Philippine Embassy in Cairo presented Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago a token of appreciation upon the conclusion of his tour of duty as Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and non-Resident Ambassador to Djibouti, Eritrea and Sudan.
Ambassador Tago arrived in Egypt on 11 September 2021. He presented his credentials to H.E. Abdel Fatah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt on 15 September 2021. He also presented his credentials as non-Resident Ambassador to Djibouti President H.E. Ismail Omar Guelleh on 18 November 2021, Transitional Sovereign Council of Sudan President Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan on 15 March 2022, and H.E. Isaias Afwerki, President of Eritrea on 23 June 2022.
In July 2024, Ambassador Tago received the Gawad Mabini- Rank of Dakilang Kamanong Commander-conferred by the Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., for his exemplary service to the people and nation, especially during the repatriation of Filipinos from Sudan in 2023.
The Philippine Embassy in Cairo extends its profound gratitude to Ambassador Tago for his leadership and guidance as Head of Post as well as being an example for dedicated service as a civil servant and diplomat. END
