PH Ambassador Presents Open Copy of Letter of Credence to Assistant Minister for Protocol

02 June 2026 - On 02 June 2026, Philippine Ambassador Charmaine Rowena C. Aviquivil presented the Open Copy of her Letter of Credence to the Assistant Foreign Minister for Protocol, Ambassador El-Desouky Yusuf at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates at the New Capital. Through the Letter of Credence, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. designates Amb. Aviquivil as Philippine Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Amb. Aviquivil and Amb. Yusuf also had a productive meeting to discuss possible areas of cooperation including the strengthening and expanding of Philippine-Egyptian relations as strategic partners. Both looked forward to the convening of bilateral consultations and holding of events that highlight the 80 years of friendship between the two countries. END.
