PH AMBASSADOR HOSTS 279th ASEAN COMMITTEE IN CAIRO MEETING

30 June 2025— Philippine Ambassador Ezzedin Tago hosted the 279th ASEAN Committee in Cairo (ACC) Meeting at the Philippine Embassy in Maadi, Cairo. The meeting was attended by the other Heads of Missions of the eight (8) ASEAN states represented in Cairo- Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

During the meeting, the ambassadors discussed the ASEAN activities calendared for the second half of 2025 which include ASEAN lectures with a local university and the Egyptian Institute for Diplomatic Studies and ASEAN day celebration. The ambassadors also talked about their bilateral engagements with Egyptian officials and prospective projects that may be collectively undertaken by the ACC to promote trade between the member states and Egypt. END.
