On 20 February 2024, the Philippine Embassy in Cairo sent off a batch of fourteen (14) Filipinos and two (2) Palestinian relatives who exited Gaza on 17 February 2024. They will arrive in the Philippines on 21 February 2024.
The Philippine Embassy once again expresses appreciation to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its assistance in allowing their entry into Egypt through the Rafah border. The Embassy also thanks IOM Egypt for providing support to the Palestinian repatriates.
A total of 136 Filipinos have crossed the Egypt Rafah Border, through the Embassy’s coordinated efforts with the Philippine Embassy in Jordan and the Philippine Embassy in Israel. They have been repatriated from Cairo to Manila through the Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) fund from the DFA-OUMWA. END.
