12 August 2026 - The Philippine Embassy in Egypt proudly concludes its Tinikling Workshop at the Sentro Rizal Library, under the program entitled, "Pamana: Pagdiriwang ng Wikang Filipino sa Pamamagitan ng Sining at Sayaw" (Heritage: Celebration of the Filipino Language through Art and Dance).

Participants came together to learn and experience the traditional Filipino dance of Tinikling, discovering its lively rhythm, graceful movements, and cultural significance as a cherished expression of Filipino heritage and identity.

Vice Consul Bryan B. Fernandez led the Tinikling Dance Workshop throughout its sessions, with the assistance of Ms. Melcah Ofngol, sharing their knowledge and skills for this beloved Filipino cultural tradition.

The Philippine Embassy extends its heartfelt appreciation to everyone who participated in the workshop and shared their enthusiasm, energy, and appreciation for Philippine culture. The young Tinikling learners will also have the opportunity to showcase their skills in a dance recital on 31 August 2026, as part of the Buwan ng Wika culminating activity.

As we continue celebrating Buwan ng Wikang Pilipino, we invite young individuals to join us in our upcoming Art Activity on 18–20 August, featuring DIY fan-making, Philippine monuments-inspired paper crafts, and coloring activities for children. Interested participants may register at bit.ly/2026BuwanNgWika.
