AMBASSADOR TAGO BIDS FAREWELL TO IOM, EXPRESSES GRATITUDE FOR CONTINUED SUPPORT

13 August 2025-Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago met with Mr. Carlos Oliver Cruz, Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Egypt to express appreciation for the strong partnership between the Philippine Embassy and the IOM.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged valuable insights on current issues on migration management and humanitarian assistance. IOM Chief of Mission Mr. Cruz also shared the different activities and programs spearheaded by IOM in Egypt.

Amb. Tago warmly thanked the IOM for the assistance provided during the Gaza repatriation operations which facilitated the safe return of Filipino nationals amid challenging circumstances.

Both sides reaffirmed their dedication to continuing cooperation that promote migration governance and humanitarian aid to support migrants and vulnerable communities in the wider region.END
