12 May 2023 - 19 overseas Filipinos from Sudan are scheduled to return to the Philippines.

They are the last of the 550+ Filipinos who evacuated Sudan and were granted temporary entry into Egypt. We are pleased that this concludes the repatriation of Filipinos who entered Egypt from Sudan on temporary entry visas.

We reiterate our appreciation to Egypt for facilitating their entry, Philippine Consul in Khartoum Tarek ElNefidi for his valuable assistance.
